  • windows button+ F5  till the page does not load......
  • .Turn off your Samsung Galaxy S3 device.
  • .Next, boot the smartphone into Download Mode. To do this press and keep holding the Volume Down, Home and Power buttons together and when a Warning message is displayed press the Volume Up button to confirm the entering on Download Mode menu.  You can also read our tutorial about how to enter into download mode for S3 device from here.

  • .Do not make any other default settings and make sure that the Re-Partition option is disabled.

Great, you applied all the steps in order successfully flash the new Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update to the Galaxy S3 device.

Troubleshooting:

If the smartphone doesn’t boot into normal mode after you’ve flashed the new firmware, you should apply a factory reset.
Note: A factory reset will remove all data from the system partition, but the Samsung Galaxy S3 device will boot into normal mode.
To do a factory reset for the Samsung Galaxy S3 device on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean firmware follow the next steps:
  • Turn off the Samsung Galaxy S3 device totally, to do that remove its battery and then re-insert the battery after 10 seconds.
  • Boot your S3 device in Recovery Mode.
  • From the recovery mode select” wipe data/factory reset” and then confirm.
  • Return to the main recovery mode menu.
  • From there select restart system now
  • Enter your Google Account info and get the total control over the Galaxy S3 device.

For the those not knowing which files to use, here is how I did it.
Open Odin, connect your phone (while in download mode) and do the following:
1-Click on "Bootloader" and select the 'BL_****' file.
2-Click on "PDA" and select the 'AP_****' file.
3-Click on "PHONE" and select the 'MODEM_****' file.
4-Click on "CSC" and select the 'CSC_****' file.
Then click on "Start" and wait for it to finish.
When finished, Odin will display a "RESET" message and the device will reboot automatically. After its done, it might freeze on the "Samsung" logo so just disconnect the device and reconnect it, Odin will display the "Pass" message. Re-disconnect your device and reboot it and that's it.
Make sure you backup your device first!!!

  6. I have received the update but not installed it as I don't want to. What I do want to do however is delete it. A friend told me to go into the 'all' section of Applications Manager and force close in the Software Update. Unfortunately, I still keep getting reminders to install. Wondering what would happen if I Cleared Data instead , is it just 4.3 in this software update?
